What a beautiful service at church today. Pastor Kevin annointed Emma and many people were gathered praying for Emma's hearing. We were so blessed to see how many cared for our little girl. We truly felt the presence of the Lord. Our hearts are at peace with whatever happens with this situation.
Emma's ABR has been scheduled for Friday, February, 25, 2005 at 10:30AM. Nancy Ingram will be performing the procedure. She works with SoonerStart, OK's early intervention program. Tish, Emma's audiologist, is very good friends with Ms. Ingram, so we feel very good about Ms. Ingram doing the procedure.
We are currently fighting with BCBS over Audiology Exams and Hearing Aid coverage. OK has a state statute that requires insurance companies to provide that coverage until the child is 18 yrs. old, but if you are considered "self insured" you are exempt from the law. Well, guess what, UPS considers there teachers self insured and BCBS is exempt. We are currently trying to fight it. Hopefully, we will win! :-)
